The Â鶹AV has launched a free mobile app that is now available on iTunes.
Â鶹AV Mobile provides readers with access to search Â鶹AV journal content from the Â鶹AV Publishing Platform.
Users at any institution or organisation that currently subscribe to Â鶹AV journals can access the same content on the Â鶹AV Mobile app using its wireless network.
The benefits of Â鶹AV Mobile include:
- Up-to-the-minute access to Â鶹AV journals;
- Full text HTML and PDF access via wireless networks for subscribing institutions/organisations;
- The latest news from the Â鶹AV Publishing Platform;
- Saving articles for offline reading;
- Share your favourite content via email, Twitter or Facebook.
MartÃn Resano Ezcaray, from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, said: "This is a great app. It makes it dead simple to be up-to-date with your research areas of interest. It is easy to use, has a very flexible search, permits direct off-line saving of abstracts or papers, plus sharing your results with colleagues via e-mail, Facebook or Twitter is just one-button away. It is a must for any chemist."
Will Russell, innovation and product development manager at the Â鶹AV, said: "Â鶹AV Mobile will let you search for our journal content in a convenient interface for smartphones and tablets. We're excited by the possibility that smartphones and tablets offer our readers and we've listened to the many requests we've had. This is our first release into this area - and a version for Android is coming."
Notes for editors:
The Â鶹AV Mobile app is available for iPad, iPhone and iPod and the Â鶹AV is currently developing the Android version, which will be available early 2012.
